At Horans Health, we are shining a light on Menopause. It deserves awareness!
Every woman’s menopause story differs; some women sail through it while others really struggle with this stage of their life.
The menopause is a natural biological transition that happens to all women, usually between the ages of 45 and 55. For most women, the menopause is a gradual process and one that encompasses a whole host of physical and physiological changes to the body.
A woman’s transition from her fertile years into menopause is called perimenopause and the perimenopause can last anything from 7 – 10 years. Often women do not recognize when they are going though perimenopause as the menstrual cycle is often the last thing to be affected.
The infographic shows some of the 34 reported symptoms of Menopause. Each woman can
experience a different set of symptoms. Some go unnoticed and are subtle whilst others can cause
discomfort and distress. The timeline of woman’s menopausal journey is also quite varied but on
average it last for 4 years but perimenopause can last from 7-10 years.
At Horans Health, we have a lot of different options to help women through their menopause journey.
One of our favorites is an Irish brand, Revive Active Meno Active.
Meno Active is formulated with a comprehensive blend of 31 vitamins, minerals, omega 3 DHA, digestive enzymes, plant extracts and strains of live friendly bacteria, all delivered in a unique sachet and capsule combination. These ingredients include:
- Vitamin B6, which contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity
- Biotin, Magnesium, Thiamine and Iodine, which contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system
- Omega 3 DHA, which contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and
- Vitamin C, which contributes to the reduction in tiredness and fatigue.
Each sachet of ingredients creates a citrus flavoured drink when mixed with water. Each capsule contains 3 plant extracts, Soya Isoflavone, Ashwagandha and Sage which can sometimes taste a little bitter in a powder format.
It is recommended to take the sachet and capsule together at any time of the day, preferably 30 minutes before food by simply mixing the sachet with 250ml of water and stirring to dissolve. It is worth noting that the quantity of water is a guideline and can be increased depending on personal preferences and tastes.
Every woman is unique so different treatments work for different people. It’s worth investigating what might work for you. For some women natural remedies don’t give them adequate relief and for these women they may have no choice but to go the medical route.
